    Zombie Glass (Clip+ func_illusionary) Mapping Made Easy

    of my new tutorial in making now that we have a couple new mappers i wanted to do my best to teach them the basic's in a way that will be forever held for any mappers to use in the future and a place to submit there questions so that we can have them in a way you can search to find help with anything u may need info on

    so now we are making the zombie glass ....this shit took me forever @heifer told me how to do it but I didn't understand it and didn't figure it out for months after and I regret not having it in all my ZP maps because it is SO key to a Good ZP map

    i dont know where the other part of this went but ill just enplane again real quick


    BUILDING GLASS THAT BULLETS GO THOUGH
    ZOMBIE GLASS
    Step #1
    Start Out by building the glass just as you normaly would just instead of setting it as
    Func_breakable Used if you want the glass to break
    Func_wall Used if you want the glass to Not Be broken
    You going to pick
    func_illusionary Used to make a block that apears to be there but as far as the game is concerned its not there
    and set it just like a normal window
    Render Mode
    TEXTURE


    Render Mode to use.
    • 0: "Normal"
    • 1: "Color"
    • 2: "Texture"
    • 3: "Glow"
    • 4: "Solid"
    • 5: "Additive"
    Setting the render mode to texture (some light) Along With
    FX Amount 80-130


    FX Amount (1-255) Controls transparency when using another render mode then normal. 0 is completely invisible, and 255 is opaque.
    To about 80 will be about as transparent as glass

    Step #2 now what you have built is just what looks like a window but now you need what "clips" players from walking through it but still allows bullets grenades ect
    Step #3

    what i do normally is select all the glass parts of your window and copy them now you need to make sure it didn't copy the entity with it tho so id right click on the selected objects and go down to

    This will remove any enitys and move back to the world blocks
    Step #4
    Now Select
    CLIP Texture

    And apply to the formor glass sections and move back to the same place as the func_illusionary and togeather both these blocks will make the glass
    Common Errors misuse can be irritating, and ALL sides of a brush must be CLIP, no mixing textures allowed.

    Now find your
